Summary:
This position is responsible for accurately picking orders, according to prescribed procedures, and placing picked orders on conveyor racks for packing.
The Picker/Packer also assists with restocking, cycle counting, packing and training other Pickers as directed.
The following duties are performed in a timely manner, thereby contributing to the overall successful operation and growth of the organization.
This position is a temporary position, as a temporary worker your assignment will not exceed 6 months.
Your department duties will be based on the company's business needs, which may vary weekly depending on the company's needs.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:

Responsible for manually packing pulled orders, according to procedure.
Picking orders by following pick tickets and invoices.
Verifies invoice and picking slip details.
Determines the proper size box and inserts promotional literature and packing materials for each order.
Ability to follow packing procedures for allergens.
Assembles cartons, boxes, and inserts.
Seals and labels packages for the Shipping Clerk to process.
Requirements:
Education and
Experience:
High school education or equivalent 6+months of related experience or training Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time & heavy lifting required.
Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision.
Must pay close attention to detail.
Ability to exercise judgment and work in a fast-paced environment.
Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
Basic math and computer skills are necessary.
A pre-employment drug screening and background check is required prior to employment.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area, circumference, volume, and percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, bending, reaching, standing while performing daily tasks; must be able to lift up to 49 lbs.
Work conditions may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business SOPs, and technical procedures.
Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts, and to understand communications from others.
Ability to maintain composure, listen, and respond appropriately.
